In 2000, Melissa created TarValon.Net, a 501(c)7 non-profit community dedicated to bringing Fantasy Fiction fans together to make a difference in their greater communities. This world-wide organization is now several thousand members strong, and has raised significant funds for charities like Heifer International, Doctors without Borders, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and the International Red Cross.
Melissa is a professional Office Administrator, and is particularly strong in improving work-flow processes and information management for small businesses. She also personally enjoys volunteering/working in theatre production, as well as in education and outreach in her local community.
